Finally I have finished this 598 square yards painting (500 kvm) at the Västerås airport in a collaboration with Evenzo (www.evenzo.com). I began working at this piece the summer of 2006 in the end of August. The summer was very hot and I got a cold in the beginning working very physical approximately 12 hours a day (as long as the sun was up). When autumn was closing in and it started to rain a lot we cancelled the work to continue with it this summer of 2007. I finished it in May.

I used 187,03 gallons of liquid ( 708 litres ) including the “turpentine” to dilute the oil based varnish colours. I only used yellow, blue, red, black and white to mixture the colours I needed. Totally I used 92,98 gallons where I used mostly red (42,26 gallons, 160 litres). I have used approximately 25,96 gallons ( 96 litres ) of white concrete basecoat to prevent the concrete from absorbing the applied colours.

I have updated with some new photos showing the process, some abstract details from the background of the painting and other photos as well to give you an idea of the way I worked and so on. If you would prefer to watch the process in a movie-clip that Evenzo created you just click on the link! If you don’t have QuickTime Player installed on your computer you can install that as well. If you want to download the movie-clip on you computer you can do that through the site of Evenzo here: http://www.evenzo.com/whatwe.html

I hope you’ll enjoy!
